CHICKEN BIRYANI

INGREDIENTS
  • Whole chicken with normal size pieces
  • Basmati rice 1kg
  • Red chili 2tbsp or as your taste
  • Salt as your desire
  • Turmeric powder 1tsp
  • Black pepper(Whole) 1tsp
  • Ginger Garlic paste 2tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds 1tsp
  • Coriander Powder 1tbsp
  • Garam Masala powder 1tbsp
  • Green Chili (chopped) 6
  • Fresh Coriander (chopped) 1/2 bunch
  • Whole Garam Masala 2tbsp
  • Yellow Food color 1/2 cup
  • Cooking Oil 1cup
  • Onions (sliced) 3 medium
  • Tomatoes (sliced) 5 medium
  • Yogurt (whipped) 1cup
COOKING DIRECTIONS

  • In a pot, heat a cooking oil on medium heat for 5 minute and add whole garam masala. When it start pops add sliced onions and stir fry till its golden then add ginger garlic paste, trumeric and cumin and stir for 2-3 minute. Add tomatoes and cook till tender when tomatoes are in paste form add chicken with salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder , green chillies, fresh coriander and mint leaves then add yogurt and mix it well. Now cover and cook on medium heat for 12-15 minute.
  • Now boil the rice with some whole garam masala in a large pot. When rice are half cooked then drain the water.
  • Now put one layer chicken curry then one layer half boiled rice so makes layers like this until nothing left now sprinkle milk mixed with food yellow color.
  • Now cover and simmer on a hot griddle on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
  • Now serve with salad and raita.
